**Administration Officer**
**Hybrid working between home and the Kendal Town Council office LA9 4ED**
**Part-time, 18 hours per week**
**£12.21-£13.50 per hour** plus local government pension scheme**
There are ordinary administration jobs out there. And then there’s one where you get an incredible variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to develop and influence; all whilst contributing to keeping Kendal as a beautiful, vibrant commercial and tourist centre.
The Town Council is seeking an experienced and proactive administration professional to support the senior team in a wide range of areas; someone who can spot and implement opportunities to improve efficiency all areas of administration.
In particular you will:
- Support with event and room bookings, social media content, Committee meetings, even our allotment tenancies
- Provide support for meeting notes and actions, general requests, and other ad hoc duties
Your high levels of organisation, time management and communication will be a given, and you can demonstrate success in providing effective administration support to date. But your real value to us will be the way you can identify areas for improvement, new ways of doing things, and generally improve aspects of Council administration to benefit the team and the community.
So, bring your experience of MS Office/365 of course. But bring your tenacity, relationship-building, influencing and problem-solving skills as well. We will really utilise them to the full and provide growth and development for you in return.
