**Head of Centre of Excellence (CoE)**
The purpose of this role is to build and lead the CoE in its mission to build capabilities & embed best practices across the organisation. The Centre of Excellence (CoE) team is newly formed with the goal of driving continuous operational improvement, building capability & embedding best practice across the IPC EMEA. Looking externally to consistently ensure we are clear on what best in class represents and ensure we have a viable roadmap to achieve.
**Accountable for**
- Setting the functional strategy for CoE aligned to the business strategy
- Developing the short
- and long-term plans for how the CoE can support the IPC EMEA through its evolution and drive continuous operational improvement
- Defining what IPC EMEA means by best practice, prioritising activity and agreeing the resources required through the business case sign off process with the LT and Board
- Project plan with scope, package roles & responsibilities
- Lead external benchmarking of IPC's vision to become World Class
- Working collaboratively with the Enterprise Systems team in defining and embedding relevant systems and solutions Lead the ongoing development of best in class approaches to Cat Man, SRM, etc and work with the head of departments to consistently implement
**KPIs**
- The creation of the functional strategy with full buy in
- To define best practise with each business function and a agree a roadmap to work towards this
- To be able to provide examples of where they have developed capability in project and change management across the organisation
- To be able to provide examples of where they have supported projects unblocking issues and creating knowledge & solutions to reduce the likelihood of these recurring
- Lead the annual benchmarking review on time and to budget

- Relevant Subway teams
- LT and Board
- External best practice organisations (ie Garnter)
**Key Skills and Knowledge**
- Previous experience in leading a Centre of Excellence with strong Procurement and Supply Chain focus and world class thinking
- Experience of complex project and programme delivery
- Previous experience in working for a procurement organisation
- Previous experience working for an organisation going through a large-scale change and evolution
- Experience leading continuous operation improves and knowledge of models and methods to support his
- Effective independent judgment and decision-making ability
- External landscape/sector insights to help drive continuous improvement

**Location**
We are based in High Wycombe, with superb public transport links, walking distance to the Bus and Train Stations, we also provide onsite parking for staff.
The role is hybrid working, at least 2 days in the office.
