The role:
A trust of schools based in Cornwall and the South West are seeking a HR / Payroll Officer to join their expanding team. You will provide HR and Payroll support across the Trust. To assist inproviding a professional, efficient
and effective HR administration service across the MAT in accordance with agreed policies and
procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation; maintaining confidentiality and high
professional standards atall times; Running an efficient & effective payroll service.

Role responsibilities:

- Administer an efficient and accurate payroll
- Be the first point of contact for HR/Payroll related enquires
- Help administer therecruitment process ensuring all the policies and procedures are
adhered to
- Initiate DBS checksin line with current guidance
- Administer any changes to role, grade or pay as per the agreed procedure
- Provide low level HR support at meetings as required
- Create absence reports as required
- Communicate effectively with other staff members
- Take part in the school’s appraisal procedures
- Experience of using a wide range of office equipment and ICT software, information systems in an administrative environment
- Payroll experience
- HR Experience
- GCSE Level 2in Maths and English, or equivalent
- Able to work under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals
