**Why this role matters**

You'll drive the youth engagement workstream of our new and innovative programme to engage different diaspora communities in the UK with the work of the British Red Cross nationally and internationally. In this context, we are defining diaspora communitiesas people who live in the UK but have a connection to another country or region. **What is the programme of work?**
The Diaspora Humanitarianism Partnership Programme will be an 18-month phased programme with different workstreams across our work: UK-based services, emergency response, international programmes, youth engagement, information and education. The overall goalis to increase the Red Cross Red Crescent humanitarian network impact in the UK and internationally and share our learning with communities, our sister Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies, and other institutions.
**How you'll make a difference**
Reporting to the Head of youth experience, you'll lead on the development and implementation of a youth engagement programme for diaspora youth focussed on increasing agency, skills, and opportunities in humanitarian action. Based on the principals of qualityyouth social action - youth-led, challenging, socially impactful, progressive, embedded and reflective - you will seek out opportunities to co-produce youth focussed offers that create more understanding of the role young people can play as partners in 'buildingour movement'. **What you'll bring to the role**
- **Lived experience of being a member of a or multiple diaspora communities in the UK. Please make this clear in your supporting statement**:

- Recognised minimum level 3 qualification in youth work or equivalent by experience
- Ability to proactively engage internal and external partners
- Interpersonal skills including tact/diplomacy, conflict resolution skills, a facilitative/consultative approach, presentation skills.
- Ability to collate and interpret a range of management information including statistical information and user feedback
- Demonstrable project delivery experience
- Developing and running programmes for young people
- Considerable experience in managing complex deadline critical projects
