A Business Process Expert is required to specialise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements across the organisation. Responsible for identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and implementing solutions that enhance overall business performance.

Key responsibilities:

- Identify and prioritise process improvement opportunities using Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Lead cross-functional teams in process analysis and improvement initiatives.
- Design and implement new, more efficient business processes.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented processes.
- Train and mentor staff on Lean Six Sigma principles and tools.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of processes with business objectives.
- Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage training programs.
- Typical assignments may include:

- Supporting Business Partners in identifying business needs and assessing requests for change received from Council Teams, Services and Directorates.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to optimize processes, reduce waste and enhance overall business performance.
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Measuring and evaluating risks and benefits.

**Qualifications**:

- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in process improvement.
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong organisational skills.
- Able to take a leadership role in driving and championing Six Sigma initiatives throughout the organisation and promoting and advocating for adopting Six Sigma principles and practices at all levels.
- Ability to secure necessary resources, such as budget allocation and support from senior management, to ensure the successful implementation of Six Sigma projects.
- Able to provide guidance and direction to project teams, analysts and other stakeholders. Coaching and training of relevant staff.
- Ability to monitor the progress of its projects and ensuring they are on track to meet their objectives and timelines.
- Able to champion the benefits of Six Sigma and promoting value to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Able to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes. Help the team to decide the best approach and able to help teams to manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work and work to agreed minimum viable product (MVP), print and scope.
- Able to analyse current services and processes, and identify and implement opportunities to optimise these. Help to evaluate and establish requirements using relevant techniques such as gap analysis.
- Ability to identify and pinpoint business opportunities to allow organisations to perform more effectively. This allows businesses to look at new ways of tackling business processes or to establish new services from scratch.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
