Payroll Elite have partnered with an organisation within the Education sector who are looking for an experience HR Lead. This is a hybrid role, with the requirement to visit one of their sites on a weekly or bi-weekly basis as business needs dictate.

Would also consider part-time.

**Main Purpose**:
The postholder will support the HR Manager - Wellbeing & Talent Architecture to deliver the Employee Wellbeing Plan, manage absence casework, and help deliver Group Continuous Professional Development. The HR Lead will play a key role in projects that makeeach of the Group Colleges a great place to work.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to and support in the delivery of the Employee Wellbeing Plan, including a timetable of wellbeing activities for staff.
- Manage absence case work, assisting line managers and employees in a supportive manner, utilising support from outside providers where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with managers to execute effective absence management resolutions.
- Monitor staff absence and build good relationships with all employees in your role as a 'trusted advisor and absence casework lead’.
- Support the HR Manager to implement a new appraisal system within ITrent across each of the Group colleges, adapting to the different requirements of each staff group.
- Support on implementation of the appropriate elements of the ITrent software in relation to Performance management and Professional Development to ensure accurate records exist in relation to individuals training and development.
- Support in gathering information from completed appraisals to assist with provide Group wide training and development requirements and feed in to / support the plan to deliver these.
- Collate and present information briefings on a range of HR topics.
- Collate and provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the HR Team on behalf of other areas.
- Provide advice and guidance to all employees on relevant policies, procedures, and any relevant legislation.
- Work with the Group Chief People Officer and HR Manager to develop and foster a shared service approach for HR services, across the Eastern Colleges Group.
- Work with the Group Chief People Officer and HR Manager to ensure policies are up to date and in line with current legislation and practice and provide suggestions for improvement, developing new policies as necessary.
- Ensure effective processes are in place to make best use of technology and resources available in support of providing an efficient and accurate HR service.
- Take part in or lead on Projects on behalf of HR, as delegated by the Group Chief People Officer or HR Manager. Maintain and evidence continuing ongoing professional development.
- Working in conjunction with the College and the wider Group to ensure Safeguarding procedures are followed accordingly.
**Experience**:

- Strong experience of providing generalist HR advice.
- Experience of handling HR wellbeing & absence related casework.
- Experience of working on HR related projects

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines.
- Skilled at being proactive; acting quickly to address issues before they escalate.
- Competent with data production and analysis of KPIs.
- Able to provide information in a variety of formats, to a range of audiences.
- Ability to prepare written reports and make presentations to managers and staff.
- Competent IT skills.
- Well organised and excellent time management. High standards of verbal and written communication.
