**Location: Bury St Edmunds (travel to other UK sites required)**
**Job Type: Full Time (Part time Working Min 4 Days per week considered)**

**The Role**:
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As an integral part of our organisation, you will support timber engineering experts located at five sites across the country. Enjoy the autonomy of managing your workload with the backing of a supportive Managing Director.
The HR Generalist role encompasses providing professional support in all HR-related matters. You will deliver consistent, high-quality employee relations advice to managers, ensuring alignment with the company's goals. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various projects as our business continually evolves, including recent acquisitions, facility upgrades, and technological advancements. Also collaborate with the wider Group HR team on various Group HR and wellbeing projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with all departments to implement and refine policies and procedures.
- Interpret, advise on, and implement HR processes, contributing to their development and introduction.
- Champion equality and diversity initiatives, working towards reflective demographics and attracting diverse talent.
- Cultivate a positive working environment through rewards, benefits, recognition, and wellbeing programs.
- Drive performance management, including one-on-ones, feedback, and career development plans.
- Plan, deliver, and assess training initiatives.
- Manage all aspects of people management, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management.
- Lead succession planning efforts and develop leadership development plans.
- Develop HR planning strategies to meet immediate and long-term staffing needs.
- Analyse training requirements in collaboration with departmental managers.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to offboarding.
- Support organisational change efforts, including TUPE and organisational design.
- Ensure effective utilisation of HR systems, including maintaining employee records and documentation.
- Initiate and lead various projects throughout the year.
**Personal Specification - HR Generalist**:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience (full L5 CIPD preferred).
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law is essential.
- Professional demeanor with tact and diplomacy in handling difficult situations.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Results-driven with a strong business acumen.
- Methodical and proactive thinker.
- Proven track record of delivering tangible results.

- Excellent computer literacy.
- Valid UK driving license.
