We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Security Lead to join within the Submarines Delivery Agency. The Dreadnought Alliance programme has been established to deliver the successor to the fleet of Vanguard Class SSBNs by replacement with the Dreadnought Class SSBN in support of the Continuous At Sea Deterrent (CASD).

You will lead and manage tier 1 suppliers and enterprise stakeholders including setting the direction, resolving issues and ensuring they deliver a secure platform to best practice Product and Cyber Security requirements across the Dreadnought submarine platform.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the ESO Cyber and Software you will lead and manage product security assurance across a number major Dreadnought systems supplied to the MOD, ensuring that the requirements of the product security are met, are managed to customer requirements, processes and industry best practice.
- Lead and support product security activities, including technical review and assessments of product security architectures and designs across a diverse range of complex whole boat and platform software intensive systems.
- Develop and update cyber security good practices and help ensure the techniques, policies, procedures, and knowledge to enable us to implement them across the dreadnought programme.
- Advise and collaborate with Submarine Tier 1 and sub-tier suppliers and wider enterprise stakeholders to ensure product security arrangements and controls are compliant with industry and MOD standards.
- Provide product security assurance including supplier assessment, auditing and reporting of risks and issues associated with critical whole boat systems to enable acceptance and accreditation.
- Provide technical advice and guidance in developing whole boat and Major System Security Cases against an established industry-based measure of performance and maturity.

Who we’re looking for:

- Cyber security experience is preferable, however an experienced systems engineer / safety engineer will have sufficient understanding of the underpinning principles and how to manage risk cases that will allow them to develop their knowledge in post.
- Knowledge and experience of developing product security assurance cases for complex systems across multiple organisations with extensive stakeholders and interfaces.
- Knowledge of Industrial Controls System (ICS) Security Controls to industry development standards and best practices including Secure By Design, NIST Framework and controls, IEC62243, IEC 27000 series and industry threat model frameworks.
- Knowledge and experience of Security Management systems and the development of product security across Nuclear, Aerospace and Maritime domains.
- Knowledge of Submarines Control and Instrumentation software intensive systems including Platform, propulsion and combat systems.
- Science, Technology or Engineering degree with related Cyber Security content and experience.
