We are hiring an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Trainee (HT) senior administrator to support the child psychiatry higher trainees in East of England.

The academic programme is run by Health Education England (HEE) and the Eastern Deanery and is hosted by CPFT (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust). The successful applicant will be responsible for organising the academic programme on their behalf, booking speakers and arranging the curriculum.

Transfer curriculum sessions for Curriculum Mapping document to draft timetable and Master Tracker.

Update the Master Training Programme

Keep a tracking list of speakers contacted and speakers confirmed to include contact details, topics for teaching and date for teaching.

Add confirmed speakers to the draft academic programme. Set up Teams links for sessions if requested.

Manage any changes/issues to the teaching programme as and when they occur

Add CME/Journal club/ peer case supervision into the programme where appropriate. It is the HT’s responsibility to ensure supervision is organised for these sessions

Ensure the training programme is signed off and circulated prior to the start of each term, keeping the programme lead updated of any issues. Circulate programme to the following:
Higher Trainees

All Speakers booked

All supervisors

Neuro
- Paeds attendees

Eastern Region Consultants

Systems

Monitor and maintain stocks of stationery and resources, acting as authorised requisitioner to ensure that stocks are replenished.

Work with the Management Team in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Manuals.

Assist in the effective use and maintenance of the office environment and clinical room space in the base, and leading on the introduction of, and work with, systems to manage this effectively.

Train in the use of new technology which may be introduced into the department, and support other staff where required.

Support communication with colleagues and users of the service through negotiation, influencing, listening and understanding, to ensure effective joint working.

Be aware of the Trusts Incident reporting systems in line with Health and Safety and Risk policy requirements.

Human resources

To train and develop your team and to carry out at least annually an appraisal, objective setting and personal development planning meeting.

Training and development

To participate in regular supervision in accordance with good practice guidelines and Trust policy

To participate in the Trust’s annual Appraisal process.

To attend all relevant mandatory training as and when required to do so.

General

To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to both the specific client group and mental health.

To comply with the Professional Codes of Conduct and to be aware of changes in these. To maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation and local policies and procedures implementing this.

To ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with currently quality initiatives within the work area.

To comply with all relevant Trust policies, procedures and guidelines, including those relating to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Confidentiality of Information and to be aware of any changes in these.
