We’re recruiting for and Accounts Receivable Finance Assistant to join our small and friendly finance function.
**Role**: Finance Assistant - AR
**Salary**: £24,000 pro rata
**Location**: Hybrid - BioTech Campus YO411LZ
**Working pattern**: Part Time
- min 20 hours during Monday - Friday
**Start date**: ASAP depending on recruitment and onboarding timelines.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Raising invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintaining the AR ledger at customer level.
- Allocation of receipts daily.
- Supporting credit control function where necessary.
- Liaising with Project Managers to ensure billing aligns to business requirements.
- Ensure all projects include billing schedules to support cashflow forecasting.
- Reporting and monitoring throughput volumes.
- Supporting the overall finance function with finance admin tasks as required.
- Provision of regular and ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Ensuring all processes and controls are documented and that sufficient controls are operated to ensure integrity of data and safeguarding of company assets.
**What we’re looking for**:
- Experience in Account Receivable activities.
- Knowledge of credit control would be desirable.
- Experience of working within a finance function preferred.
- Experience of working towards deadlines and managing a high volume of transactions.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build sound working relationships.
- Highly organised and demonstrable use of standard IT packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP systems would be desirable.
