We’re recruiting for and Accounts Payable Finance Assistant to join our small and friendly finance function.

**Role**: Finance Assistant
- AP

**Salary**: From £24,000 pro rata

**Location**: Hybrid
- BioTech Campus YO411LZ

**Working pattern**: Part Time
- min 20 hours during Monday - Friday

**Start date**: ASAP depending on recruitment and onboarding timelines.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Processing purchase invoices and payments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintaining the AP ledger at supplier level.
- Allocating payments on a daily basis.
- Dealing with Purchase Order queries.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements and liaising with suppliers as required.
- Liaising with Project Managers to ensure payments align to business requirements.
- Ensure payments are processed in line with cashflow forecasting requirements.
- Reporting and monitoring throughput volumes.
- Supporting the overall finance function with finance admin tasks as required.
- Provision of regular and ad-hoc reporting as required.
- Ensuring all processes and controls are documented and that sufficient controls are operated to ensure integrity of data and safeguarding of company assets.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience of working within a finance function preferred.
- Experience of working towards deadlines and managing a high volume of transactions
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised and demonstratable use of standard IT packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP systems would be desirable
