**Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator **who has previous experience working within an accounting clerical role with strong numerical skills and intermediate level in Excel is required to join a well-established organisation.

**SALARY**:£22,000 - £24,960 (£10.42 - £12)

**LOCATION**: Office-Based

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**:40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator who has previous experience working within an accounting clerical role with strong numerical skills and intermediate level in Excel.

Working as a Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator you will be required to undertake invoicing, credit control and reconciliation duties for a busy finance department.

**DUTIES**

Your duties and responsibilities as the Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator will include:

- Checking orders and invoicing.
- Price checking.
- Checking delivery notes.
- Credit control
- Accounts Receivable and send statements.
- Ensure customers are billed/invoiced for all goods on a timely basis.
- Resolve all customer billing queries working with sales colleagues to investigate all requests for credit notes.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (A-C in Maths and English)
- Experience in finance clerical roles.
- Experience of dealing with large volumes of data and financial information.
- Knowledge of Outlook and intermediate Excel.
- Excellent numerical skill and attention to detail.
- An ability to use initiative and to work independently.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Exemplary Communication skills.
- Time planning and priority setting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Responsible and Well Organised.

**Desirable**
- Experience in Accounts Receivable preferred.
- Knowledge of XERO / SAGE or similar billing platforms is preferable although training will be given.
- Level 3 AAT qualification or above with prior commercial experience supporting a finance / accounts team preferred.
- A good understanding of Credit Control as well as knowledge of Sales, Purchase & General Ledger preferred.

**Salary**: £10.42-£12.00 per hour
