The ARCSAR senior research associate will join a team of academics from across the University of Portsmouth and international partners in order assist with work on three principal deliverables pertaining to categorising and reporting on the uptake of innovations and knowledge, a case study book of practitioner success stories from the project and a report on critical gaps and needs in capacity, competence and infrastructure of practitioners working in the Arctic and North Atlantic region. Furthermore, the senior research associate will assist in general ARCSAR activity organisation and planning.

The post holder will work closely with international partners based in Norway, Finland, Ireland, and other European and international countries in order to achieve the above outcomes. Some European travel to attend ARCSAR related events may be required.

We are looking for a motivated individual with a degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline. The applicant should show motivation for independent work, and the ability to work with academics, practitioners, and other stakeholders. Applicants should also be able to perform effectively under pressure and time constraints, possess good organisational and time management skills, pay close attention to detail, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
