International Tax Director

The role in a nutshell:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic International Tax Director to lead our tax team and oversee the global tax strategy for our company, with a particular focus on transfer pricing. This is a director-level role, offering an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional in the field.
How you will make a difference:
- Develop and implement global tax strategies that align with the company's objectives and comply with relevant regulations.
- Work with the CFO and external tax advisors to facilitate federal, state, local, and international tax compliance activity.
- Lead and mentor the tax team to ensure high performance and effective collaboration.
- Oversee tax compliance, transfer pricing, international tax planning, and overall tax strategy.
- Conduct financial analysis and risk management to optimize tax planning and minimize tax exposure.
- Drive negotiations and ensure regulatory compliance in all tax-related matters.
- Provide leadership in strategic decision-making processes regarding tax implications.
- Utilize data analysis to inform tax strategies and optimize cross-border transactions.
- Review of monthly/quarterly income tax journal entries for federal, state, and non-U.S. entities.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual global income tax provision.
- Assist with the preparation and review of tax footnote disclosures and MD&A.
- Analyze and document uncertain tax positions.
- Manage external consultants for tax compliance and various consulting engagements.
- Manage the tax integration process for acquisitions.
- Maintain the global tax compliance calendar.
- Assist with the preparation and review and state quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Monitor current and proposed, US and foreign, tax law changes to identify and assess the impact on the organization.
- Act as the tax advisor for the implementation of tax planning opportunities, restructuring, and minimize tax and risks on both U.S. and international operations.
- Monitor all current and proposed tax regulations for both U.S. and non-U.S. operations that impact the organization.
What will give you an advantage:
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in tax compliance, transfer pricing, and international tax
- Strong UK tax rules knowledge
- Knowledge of tax rules throughout EMEA
- Strong transfer pricing skillset
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading tax teams
- Strong expertise in tax planning, regulatory compliance, and global tax knowledge
- Excellent analytical and financial skills with the ability to make strategic decisions
- Proficiency in risk management, negotiation, and problem-solving
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address complex tax issues effectively.
- Although not essential, experience in a PE/VC-backed environment helpful
- Enthusiastic with a proactive personality and 'yes, how?' approach
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
