**Job Details**

**Objectives of this Role**
- Be part of IAD’s Board of Trustees
- Provide a link between IAD’s Board and the Fundraising Team
- Maintain highly organised financial systems that facilitate IAD’s success
- Improve and uphold global treasury processes for compliance with regulatory controls and for operational efficiency
- Contribute to fundraising activities

**Responsibilities**
- Develop annual budget that ensures adequate funding for the charity’s activities
- Manage financial portfolio and prepare financial reports
- Review and protect the IAD’s financial status
- Write and present reports of the company’s forecasted and present financial status
- Actively get involved in and contribute to fundraising activities
- Perform risk assessments on various IAD projects
- Ensure the organisation only invests in projects that are beneficial in the short and long term
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and policies
- Enforce compliance with industry regulations and tax legislation
- Handle receipts, banking and protection of company funds, securities and financial products
- Report on IAD’s finances to charity and financial regulators

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Knowledge of and previous experience in a treasury role
- Deep understanding of finance and treasury activities, including banking, cash and liquidity management
- Strong systems/technology skill set
- Ability to prioritise and lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Self-starter mentality
- Fluent in English
- Passion for democracy, rule of law and human rights
