G. Seller is looking for a caring, compassionate and adaptable individual to join the G. Seller family.

We are an independent, family owned Funeral Directors, Memorial Masons and Bereavement Support Specialists, established in 1910 and committed to providing the highest levels of bereavement care to every family we are privileged to serve.

When needed, you will be working with the funeral directors and full time funeral service operatives. As a casual funeral service operative, you are absolutely integral to the team and delivery of the highest standards.

A full UK driving licence is essential. Due to the nature of the work, you may be needed at short notice. In the vast majority of cases you will be booked in 1 to 2 weeks in advance.

The ideal person will be:

- A compassionate, sympathetic individual who is sensitive to the needs of bereaved families, their colleagues and all those they meet.

- Applicants willing to train and learn to meet the demands of the position
- Honest, professional, dependable & self-motivated

Your responsibilities may include:

- Attendance at funerals, including driving vehicles and bearing coffins on the shoulder on an at-need basis.
- Ensuring immaculate personal appearance at all times.
- Washing and preparing the vehicles for funeral duties.
- Willing and able to assist with any other duties which arise on a day to day basis which enhance the service and presentation.
- Helping to bring deceased loved ones into care from hospitals, care homes and home addresses.
- Taking part in the out of hours call out rota to bring deceased loved one’s into our care. This rota is done a complete 12 months in advance so you will know which days you are on the rota for.

No previous experience is necessary. Full on the job training and uniform will be provided.
