**Job Description: HR Officer**

**Position**: HR Officer
**Type**: Full-Time (35.0 hours per week), Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000 -£33,000 per annum
**Location**: Offices across Worcestershire and Herefordshire.

**Job Purpose**: The HR Officer is responsible for the efficient administration of day-to-day operations within the Human Resources Department. This includes:

- Administration and maintenance of all Human Resources-related employment documentation and records.
- Managing the recruitment and selection process.
- Induction of new staff to the company.
- Supporting managers and staff with policies and procedures.
- Administration of training courses and other Human Resources events.
- Effective handling of any incoming Human Resources-related queries.
- Updating all Human Resources management information, including databases, spreadsheets, etc.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee documentation, including contracts, amendments, and termination paperwork.
- Conduct induction sessions for new hires to familiarise them with company policies, procedures, and culture.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Organise and manage training sessions and HR-related events, including liaising with external training providers.
- Address and resolve HR queries from employees and managers promptly and professionally.
- Maintain and update HR systems, including databases and spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics such as employee turnover and retention rates.
- Ensure compliance with Employment legislation and regulations.

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Human Resources department, with a strong desire to develop a career in HR.
- Qualified to Level 5 CIPD or working towards this qualification.
- Proficiency in HR Systems, such as Sage HR.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with employment legislation and regulations.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Experience in a similar industry or organisation.
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration.
- Ability to contribute to HR strategy and policy development.
- Experience in managing employee relations issues.
