General Summary:
This position is a 3 month fixed term contract reporting to the Stores & Parts Team Leader or their designee, located in Banbury. Responsible for receiving good’s in, picking parts while adhering to parts policies, guidelines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- When required you will be expected to travel to events to work under the direction of the Stores & Parts Team Leader guaranteeing a professional parts service.
- Work with other stores, logistics and parts coordinators to create an auditable and accurate store department, conducting accurate receipting and picking to guaranty accurate stock control and accountability for stock movements.
- Manual side of the good’s in process:
- Receive parts through goods in, ensuring delivery notes, purchase orders and physical quantities are aligned. PO nbr highlighted and raised any missing or items or else.
- Pick against a picking sheet kits within the Store, flag items not in Store or not in Location. Get support from Parts Coordinator and/or Senior Store coordinator
- Ensure the store is clean and tidy through the day to ensure no parts are misplaced or lost
- Flag any items that are not where they should be to ensure they dealt with physically and digitally as soon as possible.
- Work with the Parts coordinator and the Senior store coordinator on a task given.
- Support loading unloading of van alongside the logistic team, Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Assume any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Stores & Parts Supervisor or their designee.
Education and Work Experience:
- GSCE, High School education or equivalent required.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of race car parts and assembly would helpful but not necessary; including vendors, part functions and part numbers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills accompanied with solid oral communication, teamwork and people skills.
- A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
- A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
Equipment and Applications:
- Manual labor position so a strong ability to work on your feet and handle loads following health and safety requirement.
- Forklift and pallet jack license would be advantageous but not necessary.
Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic & international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
