- MHOs undertake multiple statutory functions under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment)(Scotland) Act 2003 and the Adults with Incapacity(Scotland) Act 2000.
- There is the opportunity to undertake a range of MHO work, such as being part of the MHO duty rota responding to requests for assessments for possible compulsory hospital admission.
- Completion of SCRs and CTO.
- Follow up work to promote the rights and welfare of individuals.
- Renewal of orders.

**Requirements**:
- Social Work qualification
- Mental Health Officer qualification
- Registered with SSSC in the Social Worker part of the Register
- Car driver
