**We are looking for Activities Coordinator to support our residential care home**

**THE ROLE AS AN ACTIVITIES CORDINATOR**

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care to develop, plan, implement activities for our clients. As an Activities Coordinator you’ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our clients. You will help to devise imaginative, fun, and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability.

An extremely rewarding role, part of your time as an Activities Coordinator will be spent getting to know our clients before you create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone's wellbeing, independence, and social engagement as well as monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the activities. You will also share information effectively and concisely in routine situations (effective daily documentation; attendance at meetings to handover information; face to face handovers of information to colleagues)

It’s a part-time permanent position for up to 20 hours per week. Working hours are flexible throughout the week. Due to the nature of the job, we are ideally looking for drivers.

**MAIN FUNCTION OF THE JOB**
- To organise and coordinate activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of individuals, as well as group activities that will bring individuals together.
- Booking external suppliers to provide entertainment
- Organising trips out in the local community, considering transport arrangements and accessibility
- Plan varied and stimulating activity programme to enhance the quality of care and Support provided
- Maintain written records of client’s participation and regularly review their needs
- Participate in fundraising events as required.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings when required
- Communicate effectively with other staff, relatives, and visitors including professional agencies
- Practice and promote safe working practices within the service

**ABOUT YOU**

You'll need to be warm, empathetic, and creative to join us as an Activities Coordinator. Your organisational skills and driven mind-set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our clients and staff to get involved in activities. Any similar experience would be ideal, but it isn't essential - especially because we'll make sure you have the training you need to develop your skills and progress your career with us.
