**About the role**:
The Family Time Supervisor oversees the planning and execution of family-oriented activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for all ages. This role involves coordinating schedules, and liaising with families to tailor experiences that strengthen family bonds and create lasting memories.

**About you**:
**Empathy and Understanding**: A deep sense of empathy and understanding is vital, allowing the worker to connect with families and provide tailored support.

**Communication Skills**: Effective communication, both verbal and non-verbal, is necessary to understand and be understood by families of diverse backgrounds.

**Problem-Solving Abilities**:The capacity to address and resolve issues as they arise is crucial in managing the complex situations that families may face

**Organizational Skills**: Being well-organized helps in coordinating various aspects of care and ensuring that the needs of each family member are met.

**Patience**: Patience is a virtue that is especially important when progress seems slow or when facing resistance from those being helped.

**Passion for Helping Others**: A genuine passion for making a positive difference in people's lives drives family time workers to go above and beyond in their role.

**What you will do**:

- Facilitating supervised contact between children and their parents/carers during periods of separation, ensuring positive interactions.
- Planning and reviewing Family Time arrangements in collaboration with social workers, adapting to the needs and milestones of each family.
- Observing and assessing Family Time interactions, providing feedback and recommendations to social workers for the child's welfare.
- Maintaining communication with the family's designated social worker for continuity and information sharing.
- Assisting in the development of risk assessments to ensure the safety and appropriateness of Family Time settings.
- Building trust and positive relationships with parents and children to support their emotional and social needs.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,979.00-£27,334.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.2 per week
