We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor, Inventory Control to join our customer support team at our new automated facility located in Peterborough.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 0800 to 1630 (can be negotiated) with 1 hour for lunch daily.

The Supervisor, Inventory Control role at Lineage Peterborough heavily focuses on actively supporting the wider Management Team with the day-to-day operation by ensuring an efficient performance in achieving business targets. Responsibilities include providing line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers highest standards, monitoring any issues and process adherence, ensuring production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are delivered to meet the requirements of the customers.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**People Management**
- Take full leadership of a team of 16 colleagues.
- Manage the day to day of the Stock Team's routine, ensuring daily processes and house keeping is carried out.
- Manage time and attendance for team members and take responsibility for people management issues e.g., RTW, Investigations.
- Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
- Conduct routine catch ups with team members to ensure the team's views and thoughts are heard and supported.
- Support with recruitment, organise onboarding, as well as monitor performance and progress to ensure targets are met.
- Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Operations Support Manager.
- Promote and engage with all site initiatives i.e., H&S Meeting, YSWD, Company Events.
- Maintain clear communication lines between cold store, office, and senior management.

**Customer Relationship Management**
- Demonstrate a customer focused mind set among teams.
- Attend customer calls and support in building relationships.
- Provide first line escalation for any customer issues.
- Provide alternative solutions to support timely service to our customers.
- Ensure customer communication is upheld within the team and consistent updates to customers on load status are made across both day and night shifts.

**Self-Management**
- Support change and continuous improvement within the team and site.
- Promote ‘can do' attitude and opened and honest approach.
- Engage interest and participation of others and demonstrate collaborative approach to working with others.
- Proactively contribute to the team and actively commit to teams' development.
- Demonstrates an honest and open approach.
- Face into and own challenges daily.

**General**
- Have a hands-on role and support the team by answering queries and undertaking stock investigations when required.
- Take ownership of site functions e.g., Site POs, PPE management, stationary stock replenishment.

**What are we looking for?**
- Great people skills, confident in managing people and cultivating a strong team ethic.
- Occasional flexibility in working schedule to enable time to be spent with both our AM and PM shifts.
- Experience in warehousing inventory control and/or distribution environment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Professional customer services and organisation skills.
- Strong eye for attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team player with the ability to use own initiative.
- PC Literate including MS.
- Knowledge of customer care in shipping and transportation preferred but not essential.
