Tide Recruitment are working with a national care company in their search for a new Business Development Manager to drive growth, across the company.
As the Business Development Manager, you will develop localised and group business plans considering the Social, Economic and Environmental landscape. You'll be innovative in your approach, developing robust relationships with third parties to ultimatelyextend the company's vision of being able to offer top-quality care to as many as possible.
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven and passionate about the health and social care sector.
As the BDM, your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Create opportunities, promote the business proactively, and build and develop positive relationships.
- Be a lead in the development of a systematic approach to relationship management through the implementation of CRM
- Manage the bid team resource to ensure a proactive and strategic approach to growth.
- Contract Management - onboarding and embedding of new contacts into the divisions, monitoring of contractual obligations.
- Undertake local market mapping to inform growth areas keeping up to date logs of target search locations and demand.
- Analyse competitors and lead in the development of business plans in line with operational and business objectives
- Work in conjunction with the team to deliver key initiatives, meet functional KPI’s
- Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders across the organisation including Operations, Quality and HR.
- Develop innovative referral pathways for people in line with the needs of local commissioners, social workers, and professionals.
- Identify and work with marketing to create online and offline marketing plans that engage our key stakeholders and promote new services
- Ensure person led services are at the forefront of new service design and that the principles of co-production are at the core of new service delivery.
- Working closely with Local Authorities, developing existing relationships to promote and communicate people's success, continuous improvement, and organisational excellence.
- Compiling information on short-, medium-, and long-term needs from local authorities to shape the organic and acquisition strategy of the group.
**Job Criteria**
- An appropriate professional qualification and/or comprehensive experience at the Management Level in the Social Care Sector (specifically operational experience with a focus on quality).
- This is a highly networked role that requires excellent interpersonal &communication skills
- A sound knowledge of local authority commissioning processes & local authority structures.
- You will have a good understanding of the Social, Political and Regulatory landscape that influences the market.
- A natural and thorough understanding of marketing principles
- Drive and passion for operational and quality excellence.
- Work to set Key Performance Indicators and Targets
- Able to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy.
- Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills
- Engaging approach and passionate about delivering positive outcomes
- Able to produce and respond to detailed written and oral communication.
