My Public Sector Client is looking for a Contract Support Officer to work within their department. This is a temporary ongoing role, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm, 37.00 hours a week. This role is paying £13.02 per hour. This is a hybrid role will require you to attend on site one day a week, the rest of the week will be remote working.

The Contract Support Officer's role will be to support a geographic hub or a national team with contract support activities and will remotely cover other hubs when required. In this role you will use financial knowledge to provide comprehensive technical support to a range of customers needing financial administrative support.

You should have strong communication skills to enable you to build strong relationships with internal teams, namely project managers and Commercial Services Manager and procurement colleagues as well as external supply partners and their third-party payments team. You will focus on ensuring suppliers are paid on time by processing payment requests, contracts are administered in line with correct processes, uploading new contracts and closing old contracts, using contract administration tools, and where necessary investigating issues and anomalies to a satisfactory conclusion. You will be required to raise purchase orders, process payments and deal with invoicing, so a background in accounts payable would be an advantage.

The client is looking for someone who is numerically confident, positive and pragmatic, who can work with others and build relationships at varying levels to deliver results. Someone who can clearly and concisely articulate complex technical information, and who must be able to prioritise and ensure focus on business-critical activities. To succeed in this role, you will require skill and passion for reviewing and interpreting financial data, identifying issues, and reaching solutions,

You will be expected to be confident, highly organised and have attention to detail. Communication skills are essential and of course strong MS office skills, particularly Excel.

A DBS and full referencing will be required for this role.
