The Project Delivery Function Team provides a number of functions for the Project Delivery Profession across DfE. One of those functions is championing capability development for the profession with use various tools, courses and community focussed events. With over 700 Project Delivery professionals across the department you’ll be working within the L&D team works to co-ordinate the L&D offer ensuring it is accessible and understood by all.

**Job description**:
**About the role**

As a Learning and Development Support Officer, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and coordination support for the Learning and Development team. You will contribute to the efficient delivery of training programs, help analyse skills gaps, and assist in organising various learning events for the Project Delivery Profession across DfE. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include:

- Planning and facilitating training courses
- Gathering and tracking data to support the roll out of training courses
- Supporting the roll out of skills gap analysis via the Government Online Skills Tool (GOST)
- Preparing reports and communications for the L&D offer
- Help to organise team meetings and community learning events
- Finance tracking of L&D spend
- Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting the wider team with administrative duties promoting cross team working
- Supporting workshops and delivering teach ins on the L&D offer

**About the Apprenticeship**

This role includes completion of completing an apprenticeship as LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT (Level 5) - please check the eligibility requirements below using the apprenticeship standard: Learning and development consultant business partner / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education
- You must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship at the same time.
- You must not already have a substantial amount of the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You must not have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You already have all the skills and knowledge that is covered in the contents of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have already worked in a similar role, or your previous learning, and/or work experience covers the contents (Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours) of the apprenticeship standard.
- You have a degree (or equivalent) in Learning and development
- Part of this apprenticeship is to complete a level 2 English and maths functional skills qualification. If you have already achieved GCSEs in English and maths at Level 4 (grade C) or equivalent or a higher grade, you will not need to complete the functional skills qualification.

At the enrolment stage, the individual's eligibility will be checked by the training provider.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience of working within the Project Delivery Profession

Desirable criteria will only be assessed in the event of a tie break situation to make an informed decision.
