Hamilton, United Kingdom Sense Scotland Full time

**Are you caring, enthusiastic, reliable and looking for a new opportunity in Motherwell? If so, we have a great opportunity within Sense Scotland Supported Living.**:
**About the service**:
We have been supporting individuals to live in their own home and in the way that they choose to live their life with a dedicated team of staff for many years. We currently support individuals throughout **North and South Lanarkshire in Airdrie, Blantyre, Rutherglen, Hamilton and Motherwell**. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established team, improving the lives of an individual and supporting and challenging each other to provide the best possible service.

**About the role**:
We support 2 individuals who live in their own home in the **Motherwell **area. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of improving the lives of both individuals and being part of an established team who support and challenge each other to provide the best possible service. We have opportunities for **part time (20 hours)** and **full time ( 37 hours)** Support Practitioners.

Please note it is **essential that you must be a driver **to be considered for this role.

You will be part of a team offering **24 hour support** to each individual who are encouraged to live lives independent from each other where possible but share support when this meets both their needs. We are looking to recruit a dedicated support practitioner who will work early, mid and backshifts as required. We are looking for a motivated and confident individual who will work in a person centred way to ensure consistent support for each individual. The individuals we support do not communicate through speech so you will be required to work hard to develop and understand how each person communicates and respect their need for routine which is essential. At times people may communicate in ways which can be perceived as challenging. You will receive full training in understanding behaviour and a full support plan will be in place for you to follow.

Individuals have a shared vehicle which you will be required to drive on their behalf so a driving licence is essential. Personal care and administration of medication is also part of the role. Each individual has their own unique interests which include football, music, walking, socialising with friends and more. We will require you to support individuals in their chosen activities and help them develop new activities and relationships where possible.

**This role would be great for you if you**:

- An excellent communicator and willing to learn
- Passionate about helping others and making a difference to someone's life
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Willing support others and help them achieve their goals and ambitions
- Happy to support personal care
- Can work independently
- Enjoy being involved in community-based activities and outdoors
- An excellent time keeper
- Hold a full UK driving licence

**Sound like you?**:
Sense Scotland has an extensive package of staff training and terms and conditions for staff to support them in their role. There will be a supervisor on site in the service and you will receive supervision in your role and access to peer support through team meetings.

**Working for us**:
**We offer a rewarding role with the opportunity to develop your skills and future career in an enriching environment with the following benefits:
