**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Practioner with previous NHS experience. The position is for a permanent Assistant Practioner to join our dynamic team of Dietitians in NHS Lanarkshire.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated Assistant Practioner with excellent communication and negotiation skills who will:

- provide a clinical service within outpatient and domiciliary settings, and via remote (video / telephone) appointment modes to the adult service. Within this post there will be a focus on nutritional support patients with / at risk of malnutrition demonstrate excellent team working skills and the ability to work using own initiativecontribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, have excellent time management skills and have working knowledge of basic information technology.

This post requires travel across NHS Lanarkshire - a full UK/EEA driving license is essential.
The NHS Lanarkshire Dietetic Service has a clinical remit for people of all ages across a diverse population. Community and hospital based dietetic teams work closely together to provide care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. **What we'll need you to bring**:

- HNC in healthcare, education or social cares or SVQ3 in healthcare, education or social care
- Short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area
- Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area
- Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning
- Car driver with full valid UK driving licence

**It would be great if you also have**:

- Working knowledge of basic information technology

**Location and Working Pattern**:
This role will be based in Dietetics within Beckford St
