Childcare Practitioner

**About Us**:
We are a high-quality and child-centred wraparound childcare service dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment which is accessible to all the children and their families within the Coylton community. Our team is passionate about encouraging and supporting creativity, curiosity and play for every child that is in our care.
**Responsibilities**:
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to encourage the cognitive and physical development of the children.
- Participate in play with the children.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to sustain a supportive and cohesive team culture.
**Qualifications**:
- Please note that we are happy to accept those who **do not** have any childcare qualifications, as long as you are willing to undertake the relevant qualification if you are successful.
- SVQ Level 3 in Playwork/SVQF Level 7/HNC in Childhood Practice or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
- This position would also suit someone who is working towards a childcare qualification and is looking for relevant experience.
- You will be required to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG).
- You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- If successful, you will be required to complete Paediatric First Aid training, Food Hygiene Level 2 and a Child Protection course.
