We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-established global business for a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Purchasing Assistant will have the following duties and responsibilities: - Create and send purchase orders to send to suppliers
- Maintain stock levels and manage purchasing targets and liaise with warehouse to generate order reports/activities.
- Assist in planning of production plan using MRP system.
- Work alongside Product Manager and effectively drive down back orders.
- Assist with purchase requirements using assessment of cost, quality level and delivery lead times.

The successful Purchasing Assistant will have the following skills and experiences: - Experience of purchasing, planning and/or working within a manufacturing environment.
- An excellent problem solver and good communicator.
- Strong IT skills.
