**Job purpose**

To work collaboratively across the fundraising team assisting with building and developing fundraising relationships by providing high quality fundraising support to our volunteers, fundraising groups, and key supporters

This role will have a particular focus on the Belfast, greater Belfast, North Down & Ards Peninsula geographical areas.

**Key tasks**
- Provide excellent customer service as a first point of contact to members of the public who enquire about fundraising for Marie Curie by phone, social media, mail or in person and encourage their support by providing fundraising guidance, support and information about the charity’s work.
- Provide support for recruitment activity and promotion of Marie Curie’s flagship fundraising campaign, The Great Daffodil Appeal 2023.
- Support our current network of registered volunteers and fundraising groups across the geographical area of responsibility. Provide regular support for their fundraising and events.
- Identify opportunities to expand our network of volunteers
- Assist the team by attending cheque presentations and fundraising events when appropriate or co-ordinating attendance through our volunteer network
- Assist with the management of Great Daffodil Appeal public collections within the geographical area of responsibility, including management of street and store collections, placement of daffodil boxes in retail stores, recruitment of collection volunteers and supporting fundraising groups with their collections and Great Daffodil Appeal activity
- Engage with all Great Daffodil Appeal volunteers/fundraisers Ensuring they are appropriately onboarded, thanked an appreciated for their efforts.
- Provide administrative support across the team where necessary to record, bank and process income in accordance with Marie Curie policies and procedures
- You will be responsible for accurately inputting financial and supporter data onto our database.

**Your personality, experience and qualifications**

You will possess strong Microsoft Office skills and have experience working in a busy office or customer service environment.

Strong communication skills are essential in order to form meaningful relationships and work efficiently as part of a dynamic team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: £12.50-£12.85 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
