Recovery Worker

This is an outreach role, working as part of the Liverpool City Council Pathways project.
The Pathways project is a grant-funded multi-agency project, which works alongside people who have/are experiencing rough sleeping, and who experience multiple disadvantages and social exclusion. The approach of the project is intensive, flexible and person-focused support, with the aim of supporting people onto a sustainable treatment pathway and to resolve their homelessness.
Pathways Recovery Workers deliver harm reduction interventions, and carry a small caseload to deliver quality, tailored structured treatment on an outreach/inreach basis. This will include planning inpatient detox and residential rehabilitation journeys. The essential qualities and skills for this work are compassion, inclusivity and resilience, being able to build authentic trusting relationships, and effective joint-working in a complex health and social care system.
The working hours for this role are typically 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required.
Our Recovery Workers work with our service users to help them to determine what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them back onto the path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity.
You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. A driving licence is desirable, but not essential, for this role. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and key stakeholders.
If you have a disability, a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or a medical condition which you believe may affect your performance during any aspect of our selection process, we’ll be happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable you to perform at your best.
