You will report to the Governance & Assurance Manager sitting within the Customer & Commercial organisation. You will be responsible for conducting Programme Management assurance activities throughout programmes and project lifecycles in the business. Working within the Customer & Commercial organisation you will have a unique opportunity to work with the rest of the business and a gain a unique perspective. Along with the day to day activities, we are updating our assurance strategy in the medium and long term, which will involve a collaborative approach with key stakeholders and business areas.

**What you will be doing**:
You will be responsible for working with the Programmes and Central PM community to help develop the future state of PM assurance.
- Conducting targeted assurance activity to provide confidence, ultimately to the RRSL Executive, that programmes and projects are being governed appropriately and that their programme management capability (people, process, and tools) is adequate **.**:

- Carrying out assurance activities on Oracle Primavera P6 plans.
- Delivering of the Defence RRSL Total Assurance Plan.
- Acting as a single point of contact for Programme Lifecycle Management and PM Assurance.
- Providing the 2nd Line of Defence assurance that the business has established, and is maintaining, programme control systems, with performance and compliance metrics.

- Be experienced in a project and/or programme delivery roles.
- Experience in Oracle Primavera P6
- Experience in Assurance and/or Auditing functions.
- Experience and understanding of Project Controls.
- Hold or working toward membership/accreditation of an externally recognised Project Management professional body (e.g. APM, PMI).
