You should be research-driven with the ability to capture, analyse and interpret complex information and be able present multiple messages to a wide range of audience types, representing stakeholder insight across the organisation.

This is a high profile, fast paced role which will involve close working with senior decision-makers, Elected Members and strategic partners.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct research and analysis on various topics related to our organization's mission and objectives.
- Plan, organize and facilitate engagement activities such as workshops, focus groups, meetings, and conferences to promote our organization's work and engage stakeholders paying close attention to engaging with vulnerable and seldom heard voices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community organisations, academic institutions, government agencies, and other relevant groups.
- Prepare reports and presentations on research findings, engagement outcomes, and other relevant information to inform organizational decision-making.
- Assist with the development of strategic plans and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in research and engagement activities and incorporate them into our work.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and other relevant activities as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social sciences, public policy, communication, or related field).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in research and engagement activities
- Strong research and analysis skills, with experience using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.

Oldham Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
