10PA basic contract, which includes 1 PA for on call, and further PAs could be allocated according to job planning and based on service demand and Trust requirements.
- Support to develop own subspecialty interest.
- Become involved in teaching, training, and research.
- Developing leadership skills and supporting the service development

(Primarily based at Royal Oldham Hospital, with possibility of some activity at other sites)
- Provide Consultant Haematologist duties including outpatient and inpatient care, advice and guidance to other professionals and an on-call commitment.
- Share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Haematology Department.
- Ensure maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of haematology patients.
- Assist in teaching, training and supervision of junior staff and medical students.
- Actively participating in research and quality improvement projects.
- Actively participate in both Departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.
- The post holder will be required to work in partnership with colleagues of all disciplines, external links to the Trust and service users, to ensure the creation of a quality service.

The post holder will be expected to commit to shared goals in the department by building effective teams and partnerships and valuing the roles and contributions of others.
