1st Line Support Technician

Salary. £30-35k pa

Location, Cavendish Square. Central London

The 1st Line Support Technician shall in normal circumstances be available on-site four days per week being ordinarily Monday to Thursday.

**Profile**:
The 1st Line Support Technician will be recruited under the following criteria:

- An exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing IT Service organisation. As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will be a member of the ServiceDesk team providing desk-side support to users within the UK._
- Support could be 1st line, answering telephone support calls, qualifying tickets within the support ticketing system, and completing a range of activities in support of the company systems. - _Windows 7/8/10_
- _MS Office - all versions_
- _Eset, Sophos or Symantec (Norton) anti-virus_
- _Good understanding of concepts such as WAN, LAN, Servers, Intranet, TCP/IP, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure_
- _Windows Server 2012/2016/2019_
- _Exchange 2007/2010 (Basic skills)_
- _Active Directory skills_
- _Office 365 experience_
- _Monitors, Printer and general desktop hardware_
- _Must be able to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot IT issues_

**Duties**:
The 1st Line Support Technician shall undertake the following duties:

- Day to day support of all workstations, Surface Pro and laptop computers together with support of mobile device fleet (Smartphones, Tablets etc.), encompassing 130 active users
- Create user accounts, manage access, and network administration based on company standards and policies
- Update and maintain asset inventory for all IT hardware and software
- Setup and support of meeting room audio visual systems
- Undertake the provision of new equipment to users, provided by the client including the software build in accordance with corporate standards
- Ensuring that successful file backups are maintained
- Responsible for the new starters and leavers system administration
- Printer administration and troubleshooting, including changing consumables and advising on stock supplies.
- Report on cyber awareness and phishing campaigns undertaken by the client
- Where appropriate, undertake client device patching
- Provide support to IT related projects

**Contracted hours**:
The 1st Line Support Technician shall in normal circumstances be available on-site four days per week being ordinarily Monday to Thursday.

The 1st Line Support Technician shall work normal working hours. From time to time, if required the 1st Line Support Technician to be available outside of normal working hours, this will be facilitated via local agreement between the client and the SupportTechnician. The 1st Line Support Technician will be entitled to holiday being 20 days within the Monday to Thursday agreement plus bank holidays.
