Wembley, United Kingdom TutorBox Full time

**TutorBox in Alperton (North West London) is looking for a Receptionist with strong customer service, enjoys dealing with adults **_**and**_ **children, has a meticulous eye for detail and enjoys keeping things organised.**

As our Receptionist, you would be the heartbeat of our Alperton centre; from tutors to parents, you’ll be everyone’s go-to person and responsible for keeping things working optimally.

Think of your day split in two: during the day you’ll be admin-focused — arranging classes, coordinating with tutors and handling parent queries. By the evening when lessons start, you’ll turn on your charm to welcome in students, parents and tutors for their classes; your opportunity to mingle and make everyone feel welcome.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s involved:
Customer service & Account management
- Stationed at the front desk, you will be the face of the business and welcome in all parents, students and tutors on a daily basis. The ideal person will be outgoing, presentable and a people person.
- Handle any customer concerns in a professional manner and escalate to the Centre Manager if/when required.
- Register new students and assign them to group classes or individual tutors, according to our availability.
- Build strong relationships with our customers through attentive and caring service.

Operations
- Key-holder: you will be responsible for the opening and closing of the tuition centre.
- Quality management: ensure that tutors are delivering lessons to the very highest standards and that students are being well behaved.
- Lesson preparation: the Assistant Manager ensures tutors have the tools/resources they need to deliver fantastic lessons. This includes printing all teaching materials and leaving them ready for the tutoring team on a daily basis.
- Reporting: weekly catch-ups to discuss centre performance, concerns and areas of improvement.

HR
- Managing the team: The Assistant Manager is integral in carefully selecting a suitable tutor for group classes, as well as any one-to-one sessions with students. Think of it as match-making
- Arranging cover tutors: you will occasionally need to arrange appropriate cover for tutors during absences for holidays & sickness.

Finance
- Send customers their new invoices in order to make payments on time
- Follow-up with customers if they are running late with their payments

As part of your training to become a Centre Manager yourself, you will eventually be exposed to:
Sales
- Equipped with the knowledge of our services, you will inform new & existing customers about how we can better help their children with our range of tutoring options.
- You will assist (and ultimately take the lead on) sales consultations, where you’ll take the time to learn about customer concerns and find the appropriate tutoring service for them.
- Find up-selling opportunities with existing customers.

Curriculum
- Ensure that all learning resources are of a high standard at all times.
- Gain an understanding of the educational needs of children from Year 1 to 13, better preparing you to consult parents.
- As a Centre Manager, you would be involved in developing and improving the curriculum we teach the children.
- Keep up to date with any changes that can affect our **students, liaise with higher management and implement solutions.**

Marketing
- Learn how to attract new students to our centre.
- Work with higher management to build and execute on marketing strategies that will help the company grow.
