**About the role**

This is a role working within the developing Procurement organisation and reporting to the Head of Procurement of Deliveroo that also offers a rare opportunity to be a part of one of the fastest growing tech startups at a very exciting stage.

You will further mature the existing category of Marketing and Professional Services with a responsibility for working closely with a broad range of colleagues to manage a high profile external spend of circa £300m per annum that is critical to our growth plans. We will look for you to bring expertise in this broad category area regards supply base, shaping the category, creating appropriate relationships with main suppliers and being an important 'Business Partner' within Deliveroo.

**What you'll do**

This is a Global role, operating from HQ, which would involve leading Marketing and Professional Services procurement in driving cost, quality, supply, and sustainability improvements through strategic category management and sourcing activities, including supplier relationship management, vendor consolidation and purchase compliance across the group.
- Be part of developing and then advocating the procurement strategy for the Group
- Improve, best value partnerships with suppliers, contributing to spend targets and.
- Manage a small team of Procurement professionals.
- Work with the Finance and Legal teams to ensure compliance within the Marketing and Professional Services areas.
- Oversee the development of important, strategic relationships and our most valuable negotiations with our suppliers
- Influence and build relationships across the category, and through this, become a trusted advisor and 'important friend' to the executive and senior management.

**Requirements**:

- What do you need to bring to the table?
- 10 years of procurement experience, which includes at least three years of building teams
- Can demonstrate successful results in managing marketing and professional services procurement (digital marketing) activity, including sourcing, supplier management, and building value-driving category plans.
- Experienced at working in (or with) startups, with some global procurement exposure
- Negotiation ability and being able to lean on this both externally and internally to lead value while building quality partnerships
- Be able to manage risk and prioritise
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- MCIPS Qualification is desirable, but not essential
