**About the role**

We are looking for Waking Night Residential Workers who will provide a safe environment for a brand new flagship single placement children's home for a young person with learning difficulties and associated needs. This will be working overnight ensuring the child is given the best possible care.

This role will be working 37 hours a week on a waking night basis. This will include 10 hours shifts (9.30 pm to 7.30 am), as well as the opportunity to attend team meetings and supervisions. Shifts will include direct engagement with the young person and occasionally his family, involve a balance of administrative duties, personal care and housekeeping. We are happy to discuss at interview stage whether you would prefer consecutive shifts or not and this role will require regular weekend work but not every weekend.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**
- Providing a safe environment for young people overnight (9.15pm - 9.15am).
- Ensuring the best possible care if the young person wakes up through the night.
- Keeping records in line with national guidelines.
- Providing an excellent standard of care and support to the residents.

- Must possess Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent is required or equivalent to be achieved within 2 years of taking up the post.
- Working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust.
- Writing clear and concise notes and providing updates to colleagues and senior colleagues.
- Willingness to continue to develop through on the job training or attendance at external or online courses.
- Demonstrating a solution focused approach to address problems and doing this individually and in a team setting.
