Due to expansion my client is looking to recruit for a Technical Sales Engineer, this is a great time to join the business where they are in a scale-up phase the opportunity to progress in the business is huge.

You will be using your technical knowledge paired with your customer facing sales skills to understand a customers requirements in order to recommend or tailor the best possible solution for the customer. You will be a key point of contact for the customerthrough pre and post sale to provide advice and support.
- Work closely with the sales team to get involved with qualified customer leads when it becomes clear that the customer requirements are complex and may require tailoring of the standard product range.
- Meet face to face with customers either on a video call or in person at their premises to understand their requirements in order to manage and interpret them to create a product solution proposal that meets the customer’s needs.
- Ensure that all proposals are fully costed, can be practically and realistically achieved within production capabilities and are commercially profitable.
- Prepare, present and discuss product solution proposals directly with customers. Adjust, refine and negotiate when necessary to ensure the solution agreed is optimised for the customers needs
- Work with the BDM or Account Manager to persuade the customer to adopt the proposal, close the sale and finalise an order.
- Use the CRM system to document all customer communication, progress, feedback quotations and sales orders.
- Contact the customer post-purchase to ensure they are satisfied with the solution and establish if they have or will have any further requirements. Follow up these requirements where necessary.
- Assist with preparing and presenting technical product training to the rest of the sales team.
- Feedback customer and market information acquired whilst carrying out role into new product development projects.
- KPIs include Gross Margin generated from Solutions developed for customers, Win rate, Customer Satisfaction scores.

In order to be successful you will have a technical background with a great understanding of connectivity, with the ability or the experience of speaking to customers.

In return for your hard work you will receive a basic salary of £30-£35k, 25 days holiday, early finish on a Friday.
