Head4Arts is a community arts organisation operating across the South East Wales Valleys region, covering the county boroughs of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Torfaen. It is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and managed by a partnership of local authorities and their devolved leisure trusts. Head4Arts works across all art forms to provide inspirational participatory arts experiences for all age groups.

Working alongside the team at Head4Arts, the Community Outreach Officer post combines practical support, such as the responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of project equipment and materials and driving the Head4Arts van, with the development of aspects of Head4Arts’ community outreach programme, including the direct delivery and documentation of some creative workshops, assisting with project management and communicating with participants.

The post holder will assist with administrative duties and will maintain Head4Arts digital communications on a day-to-day basis. They will also regularly liaise with event organisers, partner organisations and participants to ensure activities are well planned and run smoothly.

The necessary communication and IT skills to carry out all the functions of the post are essential.

The post holder will be expected to work some evenings, weekends and bank holidays. It is essential for the post holder to have a full UK driving license, as an element of this role will include driving the organisation’s vehicle.
