HR Assistant

We are currently looking to engage an experienced HR Assistant who will be responsible for administering an efficient, professional and confidential HR service to all at Eastwood Park. You will act as a key contact to colleagues and Managers, supporting them through a variety of processes within the employee lifecycle. This is an interesting role with the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of HR duties.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Recruitment and onboarding of new employees and casual workers
- Management of the leavers process
- Collating HR data for monthly payroll and liaison with our outsourced payroll bureau
- Administration of benefit and reward schemes eg. long service
- All HR administration including maintaining systems and employee records (paper and electronic)
- Supporting the Head of HR with project activity and in developing and embedding processes
You will be a self-starter with a pro-active and positive manner and a willingness to demonstrate flexibility as part of a small team. As well as being highly organised and efficient, we are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in a similar role within HR.
- A CIPD level 3 qualification or keen to work towards this.
- Sound understanding of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with a high level of general IT competence.
It goes without saying that in this people-focused role, you’ll need excellent customer/stakeholder engagement and communication skills and an ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
This role would be for 25 hours per week and the working pattern is negotiable.
Eastwood Park is a delightful 19th Century country house, located within 200 acres of beautiful Gloucestershire countryside and provides a perfect setting for conferences, events, weddings. Established for over 50 years and with a growing international reputation, Eastwood Park is also a leading specialist training provider for healthcare engineering, estates and facilities management in the UK and abroad.
In addition to an attractive salary, we offer 25 days holidays plus bank holidays (pro rata), a pension scheme with Aviva, a medical scheme (after a qualifying period) and plenty of free parking. After completion of your probationary period, we will consider support for CIPD studies.
£22,000 - £24,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience
(£14,864.86 - £16,216.22 based on working 25 hours per week)
