The main purpose of this role is to support the Bilingual Development and Equality Manager to develop and realise our equality and inclusion priorities.

The Senior Equality Officer will provide and implement solutions to complex equality, diversity and inclusion challenges within the framework of relevant legislation and to ensure the provision of a high standard of advice, support and delivery across the Grŵp on EDI matters. Support the Bilingual Development and Equality Manager to provide expert advice and guidance, and to develop and implement policies, practices and strategic action plans. The postholder also plays a role in delivering training and organising conferences and other events to promote equality, diversity and inclusion to staff, students and others as relevant. This is the key role within the Grŵp to ensure that we not only meet our EDI duties, aims and objectives, but also that equality, diversity and inclusion supports and enables the pursuit of excellence in all that we do. This covers all the statutorily recognized protected characteristics and other differences. The Senior Equality Officer is required to be proactive and keep abreast with developments in equality, diversity and inclusion across the post-16 education sector and any changes in relevant legislation, keeping up-to-date with local and national initiatives.

**Salary**: £29,060.00-£31,006.00 per year
