Bangor University is seeking to appoint a Research Officer to its Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation (CHEME). Applications are invited from post-doctoral researchers with an existing track record of research, to join the Pharmaceutical Economics, Policy and Prescribing Research (PEPPER) group within CHEME.

Purpose of the Job

In collaboration with a number of international partners, the post-holder will contribute to the planning, conduct, analysis and reporting of economic analyses as part of the GENEGUT project. This will involve data retrieval, an expert elicitation exercise, a model-based economic evaluation; determination of value-based prices; and revenue / budget impact analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting electronic and library-based literature searches according to systematic review methodology.
- Preparing Health Economic Analysis Plans.
- Develop and implement methods for data gathering, coding, entry, analysis and interpretation.
- Contributing to Work-package and General Assembly meetings, and liaising with other researchers working on research projects.
- Presentation at relevant conferences.
- Lead, and co-author papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Undertake administrative tasks associated with projects.
- Other duties, as required for the purposes of successful completion of projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- The post-holder will be expected to participate in performance review and developmental activities.

- Experience of conducting economic evaluations, including modelling using statistical analysis software such as STATA or R.
- Track record of conference presentations, and publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Desirable:

- Experience of conducting expert elicitation studies.

Skills/Abilities

Essential:

- Demonstrate good analytical skills, ability to analyse numerical data and present results appropriately.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written skills, and good attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively in an inter-disciplinary context.

Desirable:

- Demonstrate proven project management skills

- Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly in English, conveying ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing to a diverse audience
- A willingness to travel to attend conferences, training and project meetings
