Reports to: Marketing & Communications Manager

Principal Duties:

- Oversee media relations as the Club’s Press Officer to develop and maintain relationships with local and national media, including the ECB’s Reporter’s Network
- Undertake media matchday duties for all home fixtures, which include overseeing matchday host duties at The Cloud County Ground, administering accreditation, assisting with queries, technology and access to facilities.
- Liaise with media to organise interviews and press conferences for TV, written and radio media outlets.
- Responsible for media monitoring and creating reports to present findings and coverage.
- Conduct Club interviews with the coaching and playing staff.
- Helping to maintain and contribute to the Club’s official website.
- Assist to deliver Essex Cricket match content with responsibility for composing match previews, reports and interviews.
- Provide coverage of the Second XI and other Essex Men’s and Women’s teams, including match reports and interviews.
- Manage the planning and creation of Club literature and publications, such as the Yearbook and Members’ publications.
- Support the Club in showcasing and promoting the work carried out by Essex Cricket in the Community and Foundation. This will include working closely with the Essex Cricket Foundation support initiatives such as charity-related work and annual fundraising events.
- Contribute to internal Club communications, including staff intranet and newsletters.

- A track record for meeting and exceeding goals within fixed timeframes.
- Experience and confidence in carrying out regular interviews.
- Comfortable working outside of traditional office working hours to help meet requirements of the role.
- Happy to work home and away matchdays, including travel.
- Experience in operating video equipment.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Premiere) and WordPress.
- A strong working knowledge of digital and social media.
- Desire to work and build a career in the sports industry.
- Full UK driving licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Chelmsford, Essex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Digital marketing: 1 year (preferred)
