JOB OVERVIEW

This role contributes to Courtyard’s and The Gate’s goals and Values by promoting a professional and positive image to all of our guests and contributes to the hotels targets by assisting with all tasks within the Finance function as specified. You will be supporting the hotels and their team by providing accurate and timely processing as set out by the

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the timely billing of accounts.
- Maintain a filing system for account receivable records.
- Assist in balancing daily transfer to city ledger and post, edit and update to accounts receivable system.
- Assist in the reconciliation of accounts.
- Manage the key relationship with the 3rd party financial services provider.
- Respond to and resolve account queries.
- Collate supplier’s documentation for processing.
- Ensure all invoices have the appropriate documentation attached and approvals prior to processing.
- Process all invoices and statements.
- Record and process payments of goods and services.
- Maintain a filing system for accounts payable records.
- Maintain clear lines of communication with outside companies to ensure timely and accurate supply of goods and services.
- To balance cash and credit cards daily.
- To help support the completion of payroll and administration
- To perform daily control checks as per company control procedures.
- Reconcile the daily revenue performance for the hotel.
- Reconcile supplier statements with established records and report any discrepancies.
- Assist in maintain the batch register and balance daily to general ledger.
- Assist in preparing the accruals journal at month end for regular suppliers and delivery dockets not paid.
- Calculate travel agent commissions.
- Aid in the preparation of the travel agent’s cheque listing.
- Use finance computer programs.

- Attend regular briefing sessions and hotel meetings when required

- Take appropriate action with regards to guest feedback
- Comply with brand, hotel and company operating standards
- Adhere to departmental Standards of Performance
- Ensure routine maintenance is carried out in your areas of responsibility, reporting any damage, wear and tear
- Assist with on-going departmental cleaning, collect any litter, remove/report hazards
- Understand departmental risk assessments and be trained against them

**Profit**
- Take a positive approach towards upselling and confidently promote the product in order to maximize hotel revenue to meet and exceed budgeted targets
- Be fully aware of the hotel facilities and promote them whenever possible, along with other hotels within the Reef Estate Hotels Ltd portfolio
- Always remain sales focused
- Ensure charges are accurately posted to guest accounts
- Follow cash handling and credit procedures and report any discrepancies to your supervisor immediately
- Ensure that work is carried out in a way that is cost efficient and understand the ways in which profit can be maximized

- Understand your responsibilities with regards to security
