Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the short breaks data base.
- Deliver effective budget and resource management for the area of responsibility as required.
- Maintain and develop all client relationship-based functions for the effective administration of short breaks care packages in the Integrated Disability Service.
- Manage and maintain the day to day administration for the effective delivery of short breaks care packages / specialist services.
- Support projects and services within specialist field, or contribute to larger programmes effectively engaging with stakeholders as required.
- Deliver the services and standards required of the team. Contribute to service / business / communications plans within area of responsibility.

**Qualifications**:
- Numeracy and literacy qualification e.g. GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
- Relevant professional qualification desirable.
**Experience & Knowledge:
**- Considerable previous experience of administration and clerical duties within a large and complex organisation.
- Experience of administration in a position of responsibility.
- Experience in financial administration.
- Knowledge of Local Government and administrative law and extensive knowledge and experience in the area of law for the post advertised desirable.
- Knowledge of the specialist work practices / professional guidelines / legislation and emerging developments within the service area.
- Knowledge and understanding of promoting independence, resilience and wellbeing for children, young adults and families.
**Skills & Abilities**:
- A proven commitment to high levels of customer service.
- Ability to maintain financial, statistical and administrative records.
- Ability to prioritise workload, to meet deadlines and to conform to administrative requirements.
- Ability to use computerised systems, particularly databases and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access).
- Ability to interpret and present performance and other data highlighting key messages and areas of strength and weakness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to negotiate and persuade and build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels. Proven ability to communicate with, engage and influence children, young adults, carers, partners and stakeholders, in complex situations.
