**What you’ll do**:
We currently have a vacancy within our HR department for the position of Resourcing Assistant. This is a great role for someone who is looking to get their start in HR. This is a full-time opportunity (37hrs Monday to Friday).

The role will provide comprehensive, recruitment administration service to support to recruitment campaigns as set by the Resourcing Manager. You will assist in all aspects of work that contributes to the smooth running of the resourcing operations and to ensure adherence with the policies and guidelines of the business. Whilst you don’t necessarily need a background in recruitment for this role, you need to be able show a strong interest in recruitment processes and HR in general. You must also be able to cope under pressure and manage a busy workload.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Work with the Resourcing Manager to agree and coordinate hiring activities in line with Company policies, Railway Group Standards and legislation.
- Assist with new hire onboarding (e.g. preparing documents, coordinating orientation agendas
- To ensure that all persons offered employment meet or surpass the various medical, professional, security and safety standards associated with the position
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress background screening checks for new starters and ensuring start date is effectively communicated to all relevant parties
- Provide general HR administration support and any other duties as required as advised by the Resourcing Manager

**What you’ll need**:

- Previous relevant experience in a Resourcing/ Recruitment environment (desirable)
- Experience using recruiting software and social networks for recruiting (desirable)
- Awareness of employment legislation, policies, regulations (desirable)
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work at pace
- Able to build relationships at all levels
- Influencing and negotiation techniques
- Good general IT skills including MS Office

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
