The Sapientia Education Trust (SET) brings like-minded schools together to work in partnership to deliver a world class education to pupils in Norfolk and Suffolk. Our work is cross-phase and involves a strong commitment to staff development and on-goingtraining for all staff in our schools. SET currently consists of 6 secondary schools and 10 primary schools, educating over 5,500 pupils.

**Role Responsibilities - HR Manager**:
- Line managing the HR Advisor
- Assisting your team in developing and implementing HR policies in all areas including: casework, employee relations, pay, grading and reward, equality and diversity, performance management, training and development, recruitment and retention, and workforceplanning
- Deputising for the HR Director in times of absence
- Providing support, advice and guidance to other areas of the HR team
- Researching new topics and legislation and advising implications for the Trust
- Assisting in managing the work of the HR staff, ensuring that all members of the HR and Payroll Team work together effectively and efficiently
- Producing HR analytics and metrics for senior staff
- Attending meetings of the Trust HR & Remuneration Committee and present reports to the Committee
**Requirements for the HR Manager**:
- A relevant degree (preferred) or equivalent level of knowledge and understanding gained by experience as a Human Resources professional is essential
- Must be CIPD level 5 qualified
- Experience of leading and managing a small team
- Personable, professional and able to communication to individuals at all levels
- A strong team player able to multitask with excellent conflict management skills
- A detailed understanding of HR MIS and payroll
- Demonstratable knowledge of employment procedure, practice and law in managing complex cases
- An interest in working in an educational environment
- A detailed understanding of HR functions, practices and procedures
- Proficient in HR audit and compliance
- Experience in implementing management of change
**Terms of role**:
- 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-16.30 & Friday, 8.30am-16.00
- £35,745 - £38,890 per annum (pay award pending)
- 33 days (inc. bank holidays) annual leave, rising to 37 days after 5 years’ service
