Applications are invited for an executive assistant to manage the administrative office of Professor John Gallacher, with his portfolio of high-value research grants and his university role within the Department of Psychiatry. These include: The post is for a fixed term (funded to 31 December 2025) and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
- are required for a Grade 6 Executive Assistant role.

You will act as first point of contact for Professor Gallacher, identifying priority items of business and involving other colleagues as appropriate*. You will coordinate committee work, preparing and circulating papers, agendas and taking minutes. You will research and prepare reports/briefing papers for Professor Gallacher and the research team*. As a key part of the team, you will play an important part in setting the tone and atmosphere of the environment in which you work.

You will be educated to degree standard (or equivalent)
- /A Level or equivalent with GCSE in English and Maths (A*-C/9-5) (Grade 5 role) with experience of managing the office of a senior member of staff, including diary management, and making complex travel arrangements. You will have the ability to draft correspondence and produce well-presented reports* and have the highest level of professionalism, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with confidential information, sensitive issues or high-profile contacts. Experience of working within a Higher Education institution, and line management experience would be desirable.
