**About the role**:
The Customer Service Advisor will work as part of the Halls Team to provide a high standard, customer focused reception and administrative service. You'll be the first member of staff that students and guests interact with and an integral part of the Student Living team. The post holder will provide excellent and effective customer service to residents, guests and visitors in the Residences and will develop and maintain efficient and effective administrative processes in order to support the business activities of the department.

We are recruiting for: 1x permanent role and 1x maternaty leave cover.

The role of the Customer Services Advisor will be to support the delivery of customer services within our Halls of Residence. You will be the first point of contact for information and advice to customers, visitors, and staff, acting as a triage point and directing them to appropriate sources of information or relevant functions.

You will provide professional and efficient administrative services, supporting the Residential Team within the Halls of Residence. A flexible approach to work is required to enable the Residential Team to deliver a high quality customer focused service.

**You **will work** on a rotating 7 hour shift pattern covering the following hours**:

- Monday - Friday 08:00 - 22:00. Shift patterns: 08:00 - 15:30, 10:30 - 18:00 and 14:30 - 22:00.
- There is also a requirement to work 1 or 2 Saturday's per month for which you will receive a day off in lieu.
- This role attracts a Shift Allowance of £2,633.64

Please note that this role requires manual handling, standing, walking and sitting. Staff handle a large volume of post for our residents and manual handling is a daily activity. Our team aren't restricted to the front desk, and regularly visit the student properties to assist students who are locked out, as well as to undertake a variety of routine checks and inspections.

The Student Living Department is comprised of a number of services and in keeping with our one team focus, team members have the opportunity to help other functions. You might assist the accommodation team at peak periods, the property team with health and safety checks, or the Residential Life Team with meetings and students support activities. Team members have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge while gaining a better overall understanding of the Student Living service and functions.
